Kosmos Q Rib Glazes & Finishing Sauces for Sweet, Smoky BBQ Flavor
The finishing sauce is one of the last opportunities to add flavor to smoked ribs. Whether you prefer traditional sweet barbecue sauce, fruity glazes, or a touch of pepper heat, the right sauce can complement your dry rub and create a flavorful coating.
At DDR BBQ Supply, our Kosmos Q Rib Glazes & Finishing Sauces collection includes five BBQ sauces and a competition brisket mop. These products offer different approaches to finishing pork ribs, pulled pork, smoked brisket, and grilled chicken.

Sweet & Fruity BBQ Glazes for Pork Ribs
Fruit-forward barbecue sauces provide a different flavor experience from traditional tomato-based BBQ sauces.
Kosmos Q Peach Habanero BBQ Sauce combines peach flavor with a mild pepper kick. It's a good choice for pork ribs, smoked chicken, pork chops, and grilled sausage.
Kosmos Q Sweet Apple Chipotle BBQ Sauce offers apple sweetness with smoky chili flavor. It pairs especially well with pork ribs, pulled pork, and chicken.
Both sauces work well when you want a sweeter finish without intense heat.
Honey Jalapeño & OP X-1 for Balanced Sweet Heat
For cooks who prefer sweet BBQ sauce with pepper flavor, Kosmos Q offers two different options.
Honey Jalapeño BBQ Sauce uses real honey and jalapeño peppers for mild heat. Its sweet flavor makes it suitable for glazed ribs, chicken wings, and pulled pork.
OP X-1 BBQ Sauce provides a richer combination of molasses, tangy vinegar, ancho peppers, and smoky notes. It works well on ribs, brisket, chicken, burgers, and other grilled foods.
Both are versatile options for glazing, dipping, and finishing.
Kosmos Q Competition Brisket Mop for Long Smokes
The collection also includes Kosmos Q Competition Brisket Mop, which serves a different purpose from a thick rib glaze.
This concentrated liquid seasoning is intended for application during smoking. It combines tangy vinegar, savory beef flavor, and complementary spices.
Mix it according to the product instructions and apply with a BBQ mop or compatible sprayer.
Although designed primarily for brisket, it can also be used on beef ribs, pork shoulder, and other larger cuts.

When to Apply BBQ Sauce to Smoked Ribs
Most sweet BBQ sauces are best applied near the end of cooking.
For baby back ribs, spare ribs, or St. Louis-style ribs:
- Cook the ribs using your preferred smoking method until they approach the desired tenderness.
- Brush on a thin, even layer of BBQ sauce.
- Return the ribs to low, indirect heat for approximately 10–15 minutes, or until the sauce sets.
- Remove the ribs before the sugar in the sauce begins to scorch.
- Serve additional sauce on the side if desired.
