Can this grate be used as a replacement for another brand?
Yes. As long as your grill, smoker or firebox can accommodate a grate measuring 29" L x 29" W x 1/2" thick, this grate may be a suitable replacement. Our grates work with many smokers and grills, including select Old Country BBQ Pits and Myron Mixon Smokers. Always verify your required dimensions before ordering.
Is this grate safe for direct food contact?
Yes. This grate is made from steel suitable for direct grilling. Clean and season the grate properly before its first use and maintain the seasoning between cooks.
Can it support cast iron cookware?
Yes. The heavy-duty steel plate and framed construction are designed to support Dutch ovens, cast iron skillets and other heavy cookware.
How should I clean and maintain it?
Remove cooking residue after each use with a grill-safe scraper or bristle-free grill brush. Apply a light coating of cooking oil after cleaning to help protect the steel from rust, especially during extended periods of storage.

How long do grates take to ship?
Please allow 1–2 weeks from the date of your order for your custom grate to ship.
How Do I Measure for a Grill Grate?
Use a tape measure to determine the exact length and width of the grate you need. Confirm that a 29" L x 29" W grate will fit your grill, smoker or firebox before ordering. We are not responsible for grates ordered in the wrong size.
What If I Need a Different Size?
If you need a size that is not listed, email info@ddrbbqsupply.com with your required dimensions. We will provide a link to the appropriate custom grate.
Will You Replace the Grate for Free If I Order the Wrong Size?
No. Every grate is custom cut to order. We cannot provide a free replacement when an incorrect size is ordered. Please carefully verify all measurements before placing your order.
