What is the thickness of the grate?The grate is constructed from 3/16-inch A36 steel and framed, resulting in a finished thickness of approximately 1/2 inch.
What type of steel do you use?We use A36 food-grade carbon steel that provides excellent durability for grills, smokers, and custom BBQ equipment.
Do you offer stainless steel grates?No. We currently manufacture our custom grates using A36 steel only.
Can this grate be used in a firebox?Yes. This grate may be used in a firebox as long as the 17-inch by 12-inch dimensions fit your equipment and the construction is appropriate for your intended application.
Is the grate welded for strength?Yes. Each grate is framed and welded to provide dependable strength and long-term performance under high-heat conditions.

How do I measure?Use a tape measure to determine the exact length and width of the grate you need. Make sure you order the correct size because DDR BBQ Supply is not responsible if you order the wrong dimensions for your equipment.

Will you replace the grate for free if I order the wrong size?No. All grates are custom cut to order, and we will not replace a grate for free if you order the wrong size.
