Each grate is precision cut from high-quality A36 carbon steel and fully framed for added rigidity. The 3/16-inch steel plate and welded frame create a finished grate thickness of approximately 1/2 inch.
Grates take 1–2 weeks to mail from the date of purchase as every grate is cut to order.

Yes, as long as your smoker, grill, or firebox can accommodate a grate measuring 29.5" L x 29.5" W x 1/2" thick. Our grates may work with smokers from brands such as Old Country BBQ Pits and Myron Mixon Smokers, as well as many custom-built pits. Always measure your cooking chamber carefully before ordering.
Is this grate safe for direct food contact?Yes. This grate is made from A36 carbon steel and is suitable for direct grilling. Clean and season the grate properly before its first use.
Can this grate support cast iron cookware?Yes. The heavy-duty steel plate and framed construction are designed to support Dutch ovens, cast iron skillets, pizza stones, and large cuts of meat.
How should I clean and maintain the grate?Remove food residue after each cook with a grill scraper or appropriate grill-cleaning tool. Apply a light coating of cooking oil after cleaning to help protect the carbon steel from surface rust.
Do you make custom grill grate sizes?Yes. Contact us at info@ddrbbqsupply.com with the length, width, and other specifications you need. We will provide a link for ordering your custom size.
How long will it take for my grate to ship?Grates take approximately 1–2 weeks to mail from the date of purchase because each grate is cut to order.
How do I measure for a replacement grill grate?Use a tape measure to determine the exact length and width of the area where the grate will rest. Measure the available opening and support ledges carefully, then verify your measurements before placing your order.
What should I do if I need a different size?Email your required dimensions to info@ddrbbqsupply.com. We can create custom grill grates in many different sizes for smokers, grills, fireboxes, and custom pits.
Will you replace the grate for free if I order the wrong size?No. Every grate is custom cut to order. We are not responsible for incorrect measurements, and grates ordered in the wrong size will not be replaced for free. Please verify all dimensions before purchasing.
