Can this grate be used as a replacement for another brand?
Yes. As long as your current grill, smoker, or firebox can accommodate the dimensions of 24.25" L x 15.25" W x 1/2" thick, this grate can be used as a replacement. Our grates are commonly used in custom pits as well as smokers from brands such as Old Country BBQ Pits and Myron Mixon Smokers.
Is this grate safe for direct food contact?
Yes. This grate is fabricated from food-safe A36 steel and is suitable for direct grilling. We recommend seasoning the grate before its first use.
Can it support cast iron cookware?
Absolutely. The heavy-duty steel construction is designed to support Dutch ovens, cast iron skillets, and large cuts of meat without issue.
How should I clean and maintain it?
Clean the grate with a grill brush after each cook and apply a light coat of cooking oil periodically to help prevent rust and maintain performance.
Do you make custom sizes?
Yes. We regularly fabricate custom grill grates, firebox grates, charcoal grates, and smoker components. Contact us with your measurements for a quote.
How long do grates take to ship?
Allow 1–2 weeks from the date of purchase for fabrication and shipment since every grate is cut to order.
How do I measure?
Use a tape measure to measure the exact size grate you need and make sure you order the correct size. We are not responsible if you order the wrong size for your needs.
I need a different size. What do I do?
If you need a size that is not listed please contact us at info@ddrbbqsupply.com with the dimensions of the grate you'd like to order and we will send you a link to that size grate.
Will you replace the grate for free if I order the wrong size?
No. All grates are custom cut-to-order and we will not replace grates for free if you order the wrong size.
