How to Use:
Mix with water or broth per package instructions. Inject evenly throughout your pork cuts, targeting muscle fibers in the shoulders and loins. For best results, inject several hours before cooking to allow flavors to fully penetrate the meat.

Ingredients:
Hydrolyzed Soy and Corn Proteins, Salt with Partially Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil (Cottonseed and Soybean added), Monosodium Glutamate, Food Grade Sodium Phosphate, Xanthan Gum, Dehydrated Garlic and Onion, Pork Flavoring (Pork Stock, Flavor Salt)

Can I use this pork injection on ribs?

Yes. While it's most commonly used on pork shoulders and butts, it can also be injected into ribs to add internal flavor and moisture before smoking.

How much should I inject into a pork butt?

For a standard 8-10 lb pork butt, 8 to 10 ounces of prepared injection is a good starting point. Be sure to inject evenly throughout the meat for consistent flavor.

Does this injection contain MSG?

Yes, monosodium glutamate is included as a flavor enhancer to help amplify savory and umami notes in your finished product.

Can I mix it with apple juice instead of water or broth?

Absolutely. Many pitmasters mix this injection with apple juice or apple cider to add an extra layer of sweetness and acidity to balance the savory profile.

Will it affect the texture of the pork?

Yes—in a good way. This injection includes ingredients like sodium phosphate and xanthan gum to help retain moisture and improve texture for juicier, more tender results.

With over 35 years of smoking experience, we started DDR BBQ Supply with a simple goal: to help others cook better barbecue. We've spent decades learning what works and what doesn't, and we apply that knowledge to every product we carry. From high-performance grills and smokers to carefully selected rubs, sauces, and tools, everything we offer is something we believe in and use ourselves. We don’t believe in cutting corners or selling gear we wouldn’t rely on during our own backyard cooks and when we compete in BBQ competitions.
