Great smoker

It took some time to get the smoker, but DDR stayed in touch with me letting me know the status. Received last week, fired it up over the weekend smoked some pork butts and ribs. With the bbq guru this thing did not fluctuate at all held steady all day long. The outside of the smoker was cool to the touch except around the charcoal chamber, but that still would not hurt you if you touched it. Great if you are worried about kids being around it. Love it so far.

Tight! very impressive smoker.

Excellent incredibly efficient burning smoker.
Tons of space. Much more than it appears on the video.
Definitely get the DIGIQ thermometer + blower.
You may want to get a ball valve for the drain.
If you go for a non-digital thermometer, make sure you get a 5-6" stem, the shorter stem thermometers don't extend much beyond the insulation of the door and don't register the temperature accurately. (50º lower on my OC Gravity feed smoker). I removed my thermometer and bought a tel-tru instead . what a waste.
I've added different coasters. 6". much better.

There are several YouTube videos that do walk-throughs on this smoker, including the initial seasoning, and cooking tips that can be useful.

Awesome gravity fed smoker

I have owned offset smokers the food was awesome, but you have to babysit it the whole cook. I went to a pellet grill loved the ease , unfortunately not enough smoke flavor. I bought the Old Country installed a signals and billets. It was the best of both worlds pellet smoker ease and offset flavor. This smoker is the top of the food chain.
